A. Although, though, even though

Although, though, even though (mặc dù): biểu thị hai hành động trái ngược nhau về mặt logic

Cấu trúc:

Although/ though/ even though + mệnh đề

Ví dụ:

• She tried to finish her work even though she felt unwell.
  (Cô ấy cố gắng làm xong việc cho dù cô ấy cảm thấy không khoẻ)

B. Despite/Inspite of

Cấu trúc:

Despite/ in spite of + V-ing / danh từ/ cụm danh từ

Despite the fact that/ In spite of the fact that + mệnh đề

Ví dụ:

• Despite her explanation, nobody seems to sympathy with her situation.
  (Mặc cho cô ấy giải thích, chẳng có ai là hiểu cho hoàn cảnh của cô)
• In spite of the fact that he knows nothing about this job, my boss still hires him.
  (Mặc dù sự thật là anh ta chả biết gì về công việc này, sếp tôi vẫn thuê anh ta)

A Complete the sentences. Use although + a sentence from the box.
