Hướng dẫn trả lời IELTS Speaking Part 2 - Học Hay

- IELTS Speaking Part 2 là phần thi với cue card. Trên mỗi cue card sẽ có chủ đề chung và các câu hỏi gợi ý mà bạn cần trả lời để làm rõ chủ đề nói đó. Bạn có 1 phút để chuẩn bị và có thêm 1-2 phút sau đó để trình bày phần trả lời. 

- Mặc dù không có giới hạn nào về những chủ đề trong phần thi IELTS Speaking Part 2 nhưng sẽ có một số chủ đề bạn sẽ hay gặp hơn những chủ đề khác. Chẳng hạn như là: Mô tả một địa điểm (Describe a place), Mô tả một sự kiện (Describe a events), Mô tả một đồ vật (Describe an object).

• Mô tả một địa điểm (Describe a place):

- Describe a place you have visited.

- Describe a historic place.

- Describe a holiday.

- Describe a place you would like to visit.

- Describe somewhere you have lived or would like to live.

 

Những câu hỏi mà bạn cần phải trả lời khi mô tả về một địa điểm:

Where is it?

What does it look like?

How do you get there?

What’s interesting or unusual about it?

What’s nice, or not so nice, about it?

 

• Mô tả một sự kiện (Describe an event):

Describe a recent event that made you happy. You should say:

   ·  when and where it was

   ·  who was involved

   ·  what happened

   ·  and explain why it made you happy.

 

• Mô tả một đồ vật (Describe an object)

- Describe something you bought recently.

- Describe a gift you gave or received.

- Describe something you own which is important to you.

 

Những câu hỏi mà bạn cần phải trả lời khi mô tả về một địa điểm:

What size is it?

What shape is it?

What colour is it?

What’s it made of?

What does it look like?

What’s it used for?

How does it work?

Khi trả lời loại câu hỏi này, hãy ưu tiên chọn những đồ vật gần gũi với bạn và dễ dàng trong việc mô tả. 

- Đối với chủ đề cho IELTS Speaking Part 2, đề bài đã gợi ý sẵn dàn bài cho bạn rồi, đó chính là 4 câu hỏi của đề bài, để trả lời không lạc ý, bạn cứ bám sát trả lời lần lượt 4 câu hỏi đó

 

- Để giải thích rõ hơn, bạn theo dõi ví dụ sau đây:

Describe a software that you often use.

You should say:

what it is

what you use it for

what benefits it brings to you

and explain why this is an important software for you.

 

Ví dụ như đề mẫu ở trên, các bạn sẽ chia bài nói của mình ra làm 4 phần:

- Phần 1: Mở đầu bài nói và trả lời cho câu hỏi số 1: What it is

I think that, in these days, it is really very hard to imagine a life without having some sort of access to a computer because it allows us to use so many different kinds of software and tools to make our life easy. Of course, different people use different kinds of software and applications, depending on their level of skills and needs, for different purposes, but when it comes to a person like me, with rather limited computer skill, Microsoft Office is my saviour.

- Phần 2: trả lời câu hỏi số 2: What you use it for

Of course, it is not really necessary to introduce "Microsoft Office", but just to make things clear, it is a collection of handy tools, which was first developed on the 1st of August of 1988 by Bill Gates, for the use of business and office works.

But, I didn’t learn about this software or start to use it until early 2005 when I started school. Since then, I have played with this software and used its applications like Word, Excel and PowerPoint at every opportunity. Today, as an Office Manager of a prestigious company in my country, I use “Word” to create all sorts of documents in order to communicate with my fellow workers and superiors.

However, this particular application called “Microsoft Word” comes real handy when I prepare a periodic report for my bosses, along with the excel charts on it, in order to show the progress of the production of our chocolate cake factory and the productivity of our workers. Sometimes, I also use PowerPoint to make some presentation to my fellow workers to show the overall progress of our works and efforts in order to motivate my workers.

- Phần 4: explain why this is an important software for you.

Anyway, this software is really important for me because it provides great peace of mind for me because I know that I can take care of all of my office works quickly and easily. Besides, the best thing about this software is that I can use it at my home also to take care of important office documents and reports when I am too busy to go to the office.

- Mỗi khi qua các câu hỏi khác, các bạn nhớ dùng những từ chuyển, để người nghe biết được mình đang chuyển qua nói đến câu gợi ý khác rồi. 

Trong bài giải mẫu ở trên các bạn thấy rõ là người nói dùng các cụm như: Of course, But, However, Anyway

• Hướng dẫn trả lời câu hỏi WHAT:

- Để trả lời câu hỏi WHAT có 2 cách: 1 là đưa ra ví dụ cụ thể, 2 là tường thuật câu. Tuỳ theo chủ đề mà bạn chọn 1 trong 2 cách.

- Trả lời câu hỏi WHAT bằng cách đưa ra ví dụ

Công thức:

- Trả lời câu hỏi WHAT bằng cách tường thuật: Sử dụng cấu trúc câu tường thuật để tường thuật lại tình huống, sự kiện xảy ra

• Hướng dẫn trả lời câu hỏi WHO:

Các bạn chú ý sử dụng cấu trúc nhấn mạnh: It is .... WHO .... để tăng điểm ngữ pháp

 

• Hướng dẫn trả lời câu hỏi WHEN:

Ở câu hỏi WHEN, thông thường sẽ có 2 dạng:

- Câu hỏi WHEN ở quá khứ:

Dùng Used to + verb nguyên dạng để nói về thói quen hoặc trạng thái trong quá khứ đã chấm dứt ở hiện tại.

Dùng Would + verb nguyên dạng để miêu tả thói quen trong quá khứ.

Quá khứ đơn (V2) để nói về những điều bạn làm trong quá khứ mà bạn đã không còn làm nữa hoặc không còn đúng ở hiện tại.

Quá khứ tiếp diễn (was/were + V_ing) để nói về bối cảnh của câu chuyện của bạn và cảm xúc của bạn vào một thời điểm nhất định.

Quá khứ hoàn thành (had + V3) để nói về những gì đã xảy ra trước quá khứ.

 

- Câu hỏi WHEN ở tương lai:

Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (am/is/are + V_ing) để nói về những sự sắp đặt.

Be going + to + verb nguyên thể để nói về các kế hoạch tương lai.

Will hoặc won’t + verb nguyên thể để dùng để dự đoán dựa theo ý kiến hoặc kinh nghiệm. Chúng ta cũng có thể dùng để nói về hi vọng hoặc giả định.

Tương lai hoàn thành: Will have + V3 được dùng để nói một điều gì đó có thể xảy ra hoặc có thể sẽ được hoàn thành tại một thời điểm được xác định trong tương lai.

 

• Hướng dẫn trả lời câu hỏi HOW OFTEN:

Sẽ chia ra làm 2 dạng trả lời

- Hành động thường xuyên

- Hành động không thường xuyên

Describe someone in your family who you really admire.

You should say:

what relation this person is to you

what are your first memories of this person

how often you see this person

and explain why you really admire this person.

 

Câu trả lời mẫu 1:

I am never really a kind of person who likes to admire other persons (well, for a girl, I am a rather “free-spirited” person) even when they should be. But, when it comes to my elder sister, I can’t help admiring her even on her worst days.

My sister is about 5 years older than me, and since my childhood, she is the person who looked after me in the absence of my parents (they were both working parents). I can still vividly remember those days when I was allowed to play outside with my friends, and I didn’t want to return home, but it was my elder sister who had pulled me up with her two hands and pretty much “snatched” me from the playground. I can also remember those special times when my elder sister kept playing cartoon movies one after another until I actually chose the one which I decided to watch in the end. My elder sister and I loved baking chocolate cake together, and this memory goes back to those days when I had just probably learned to write a full sentence and draw an elephant without any help. Anyway, I don’t really see my elder sister now because we both have different work and school schedules these days.

I really admire my sister mainly because she is a truly loving and patient person for her age. In fact, in my 25 years of life, I have never seen my elder sister get mad at me even though I have done plenty of things to annoy her. As an elder sister, she knew her role perfectly well in the absence of our parents as I remember her cooking for me and feeding me even during the days when she fell sick. Finally, I admire my elder sister because of her sheer determination which made her study for a PhD degree at night after having a full-time job during the day time.

I have got a nuclear family that has only five members. All of us love each other very much and we share a strong bond and affection. It's quite hard to pick someone among them I admire the most. Well, if I have to choose someone, it would be my mother. I would like to thank you for this nice topic and for the time you have allowed me to talk about the person in my family I admire deeply.

I love my mother from the deepest core of my heart. I revere my mother for her adorable behaviour on top of her smartness and loving nature. She is the person I can share everything with and that's the reason I worship her so much. She is perky, charismatic, optimistic and the ray of sunshine in my life.

Possibly she is the first person I saw when I opened my eyes to this world. Someone's relationship with his or her mother is divine. I can still remember a childhood day when I was late to return home due to a programme at the school I did not know about. After an hour or so, I noticed my mother at my school. I was horrified that my mother would be angry with me and she would punish me. But, when my mother saw me, she had a warm smile on her face. Then she hugged me passionately. At that very moment, I realised how much she loves me and cares for my safety and wellbeing.

To describe her more, I would say she is kind to all in a unique way and yet proactive and in control. She loves cooking, decorating homes with innovative ideas, helping others and reading. O. Henry is her favourite writer. She hates speed driving and liars, you know what I mean!

I spent my 19 years or so with my parents but I now stay in a metropolitan city for my higher education. Whenever I get a vacation, I visit my family. On an average, I spend 2/3 months in a year with my family, hence with my mother as well. But I talk to her over the phone almost every day.

The reason I admire her, well - she is caring, compassionate, and possesses kindness and love for everyone. She is an ideal mother who raised three children and ensured their quality education and moral values. She has sacrificed a lot and had never complained about anything to us. She is the person who reminds me of the power of love and affection. How could not I admire her unconditionally?

A person I admire is my “mother” because she is a fighter. You may ask why? To start, my mom got pregnant with me at the age of 18 and she did not have the support of my grandparents. Her own parents wanted to kick her out of the house when they found out. She convinced them to let her stay, but she could not ask them for any help when raising the baby. Knowing all this my mom still decided to have the baby - and that's baby is me. How could I not adore her with my every breath!

Besides not having the support of her parents, she did not receive any help from my father either. Although my father cared about me, he never gave my mom money or clothes to help her maintain me as a baby. She had to provide for me on her own. Going to school and working was killing her, but she wanted me to have a good life, so she did anything that she could. My mom got pregnant again two years later, with the same man. The only difference was this time - it was worse! He abandoned her completely and her dad was sick. Now, not only did she have to provide for her two babies, but also for her parents. She was overwhelmed by everything happening; she didn't know what to do.

Finally, she decided to attend a college and become a teacher to support the family. It was not an easy thing to do. After she finished college, it took her a while to find a job. It is not easy to find a job in Nicaragua. However, my mom never quits, no matter how hard things get for her she fought through it. To provide for her offsprings and parents. I see her every single day and I wish to be with her for the rest of my life. I have never seen anyone so determined and caring and she deserved to be admired and loved.
